My opinion as to the gender of the president is yes, the country is far past the point of being ready for a femal president. That goes for the race card as well.
Just as I don't blindly accept any male candidate, neither would I do so for a female candidate. In this regard, gender is a null issue.
No I do not think that Hillary Clinton is qualified to be the one I would support to be president of our country based upon her very socialistic core beliefs.
I believe and would support a candidate that moves us foreward to a place where we respect and honor our constitution as it was written is regained and who would actually work to limit spending and government growth.
Hillary clearly would not move us in that direction.

I fall under that party like Jack said, whatever is best for America. Really, we are ready for a woman President. With any President, we want it to be the best President out there. She might not be right now. I still have to research all the canidates. But if Gore jumped in I think he would win democratic election. I also think Rudi or Fred Thompson have a great chance of winning their party too. Maybe everything.

I think America is ready for The best person for the Job.. Just like all our elections have been. The American people will determine who should be by the information and credentials given by the candidates. Sex and Race aren't the issue, it's what best suits our citizens. We have elected female congress members, mayors, governors, judges etc. I think we are as ready for a female president as we are any other type of president.
I personally wouldn't vote for Hilary, but if Condi was running I would be the first one in line to vote her in. Hilary just don't appeal to me with her beliefs and issues.

I am a Republician, well I believe in the beliefs on republicians. I hate defining myself under one of these parties. My party is whatever is best for America. I think America is ready for a woman Presdient. Don't know if she is the right woman for the job yet. The Presidential elections are still far off, and I haven't done all my homework on all the candiates yet. I could see Hilliary, Obama, Or Gore up against Rudi, or Fred Thompson.

What is a female precedent? Precedent for what?
As for the second part of your question... your own words prove that this country is not ready for a female President. I bet your reasons for disliking Clinton are the fact that she is married to Bill Clinton, and she's a Democrat.
I bet I'm right.

The country has always been ready. No woman has ever given it a real try. I have no idea whether or not Hillary will be elected, but if she's not, I wouldn't say it's because she's female. I believe she'll be rejected because she's Hillary.

Why do you think she isn't.. give some grounds that I can debate back with.
Hillary admits last time she didn't do great.. but her healthcare views actually fall in line with Cheney's this time around.
her voice isn't a good reason
and JB Hunt is an Arkansas Corporation..so of course Bill supported it.. but if you are a trucker then that's a legitimate reason.

Like we need the same government Bill Clinton ran. I say race, sex, etc. don't matter. What we truely need is a president who can acutally run the country well. Someone who can fuse the ideas of reps. and democrats while maintaining honesty, a sense of jusitice, and dependable.

It is easy to say "I don't like so and so" it is harder to explain why. So in a public forum like this you need to have your ducks in a row and be willing to defend your statments and tell us your reasoning. True debaters use facts. Baiters use no facts or false facts. Or could it be you really don't know and are looking for a bandwagon to climb on without doing your own research and thinking?
