I don't hate men, but I dislike all extremists on either side of the gender battle. I don't think anyone, male or female has the right to stand alone and say "my gender is better".. We are all a little biased and tend to emphasise the positive traits and use them as a tool to beat down the other gender, but really if you step back, we all have good and bad points. Besides, we're not that different anyway.
My initial reaction to this topic, is to get angry at the way men blame women for a lot of things, which are strongly influenced by men. For example, single mothers are constantly slated by men on here, but why do they never mention the man who got the woman pregnant?
Then I look at some of the women's answers, and though many of them are well thought out and insightful, some of them give just plain rediculous answers. They say, "yeah, we're just better than men", without really justifying their answers.
I respect people who give good answers and provide valid reasons for their statements. Unfortunately there are so many flawed answers on the women's studies forum from both genders, this whole place just reeks of ignorance!
I guess that didn't really answer the question.. which would deem this a flawed answer too.. oh well.

I don't hate men, but I do get really frustrated at them. Where I work, there are less then 10 women the work for the company out of probably 100 employees. There is a lot of testosterone flying around and being a woman, you just can't be overly sensitive to the sexual inuendos that occur on a daily basis. While working at this company, I've noticed that all of us females get along very well. We don't bicker or fight or argue - which is a good thing since we all work in adminstration. But the men, I never realized how catty men can be towards each other. They say us women are moody and disagreeable - HA! - I swear the men I work with are far more moody and b*tchy then any of us women.

The battle of the sexes has been going on since the beginning of time. Men and women need each other. Are we different? Heck yes, but that is what gives a relationship and society balance.

Women have paper-thin self-esteems; the slightest joke about them will be taken as a personal attack, while on the other hand, if a man is placed in a woman-dominated environment, the sexual jokes persist, and he is told to suck it up and learn to take a joke.
Its the biggest double standard going.

I don't hate men. I might hate one man in particular, just as I might hate one woman in particular, but I don't hate people as a whole. What's more, I tend to avoid people I dno't like, so I don't hate much.

Sometimes we slip and fail to show the proper respect. If you do something stupid, it happens to us all, we sometimes joke about it and this hurts your feelings. Lo and behold, we end up paying that price of showing you so little respect.
