Anyone live near or in Rohnert Park california?

We might move there and how is it?
Was it a good place to raise yor kids?
Post what your opinion of it is, and how good it would be to live there.

My stepdaughter and her family used to live there. It's been 15 years since I was there, at that time it was growing rapidly, almost too fast, and business was booming as was housing and everything else. It seemed like your typical urban sprawl suburb to me ... as it is situated just south of Santa Rosa and 45 minutes or so north of San Francisco. I liked the smaller towns of Cotati and Sebastopol better, but that is me. Actually, it's very possible Cotati is part of or nearly part of Rhonert Park by now, it was already encroaching last I was there.

I would guess it has decent schools, and is big enough to have good extra curricular activities and community activities, that is what I would look for if I still had school age children. You might want to do some checking in to whether there is gang activity there ... I know Santa Rosa has gang issues, but have no idea whether Rhonert Park does or not.
