My family has never ate meat on this day and now that I have a family of my own, I still carry on this tradition. But I don't have any friends that do this, so I was just wondering what others did.

I don't eat meat on any Friday during Lent. Definitely not on Good Friday.

It solely depends on how Christian you are. If you know why Christianity discourages meat eating on Good Friday and believe in it, I don't see any reason why you would do it.

On the other hand, if you are a 'non-believer', or you try to reason with the regulations, or if you consider facts like eating fish is alright but eating meat not... you have no business sticking to the regulations. It is completely up to you.

Good luck with your quest.

This is a Roman Catholic tradition, not a Christian rule or law. If it helps you to think about Jesus and makes you feel better about yourself, do it. If you do eat meat on Good Friday, don't sweat it, God is not out to get you for that one.

I never eat meat...so no, on Good Friday, I don't eat meat. This is because eating meat is unnecessary, and so I believe that killing animals unnecessarily is wrong.
