there is such a thing as not having enough body fat for a naval piercing!!! this actually happened with a friend of mine, she was super-skinny & they just couldn`t do it, she went to several places & they all said the same thing to her!!!u can try getting a 2nd opinion at another place, but i wouldn`t force it, it`s not worth it to try & do it if it`s not meant to be!!! maybe u could get a piercing on another part of your body??? i know it`s difficult to accept when u want something badly, but perhaps it`s better just to leave it & not risk possible scarring, infection, etc.!!!

Well, you really should listen to what the place you went to had to say, but there is nothing wrong with getting a second or third opinion. I would check around and find out what are the best places in your area and go there. Check with the people you know who have had it done. Also, you can do what I did with one of my tattoos, I live in NYC and didn't really know where to go, so I picked up the yellow pages and picked the place with the largest ad, then went on line to see what their on line ad looked like. Both were quite something, and it turned out I chose right, the place was great and knew what they were doing, even if I think they were more money than some other places. But I think there are times you don't look for "cheap" and piercing and tattooing are when you look for good and safe. Please make sure that where ever you go they do not use a "gun", they are not safe and clean.

You may want to take their advice, they have probably been in the business a long time. Would you actually risk your health for a belly ring? How about a tatoo around your navel? Like a sun or something? I think they are much cuter than a belly ring.

Yes, and outies are beautiful. They put it in the skin either right below or right above the belly button. Mines look good and I have a somewhat outie.

if you have an outie and want to get a belly piercing, then it wouldn't work out too well. you're outie will constantly push on your ring, and your pants could also tug on it... so you'd be irritatted a lot.

I wouldn't want to draw attention to an outy, no offense, I just don't think it would look good and it really might cause problems.......JMO
