My son is 13 months and eats a variety of things. I am a picky eater and so I am looking for different recipies that are easy so I don't raise a picky eater too!

Thanks for all the answers so far, I am a picky eater due to IBS, so my diet has to be very unique.
My son loves to feed himself solid things, so a puree is out. He loves chicken nuggets, rotini noodles with pasta sauce & chicken, green beans and so on, just looking for more recipies or food suggestions like that.
Thanks again!

I agree with gigi that you're going to have to try to better your eating habits. Kids want to eat what they see you eating, and will refuse what they see you refuse. Maybe not quite yet, because he's little, but when he's 24 months, he's going to be copying you all the time.

At 13 months, though, he hardly needs recipes. He just needs to try different single foods. Get some veggie - any veggie - carrots, sweet potato, avacado, peas, turnips, broccoli, whatever, and get it into a form he can eat. Avacodoes, obviously, don't need cooking. But anything else can be cooked in the microwave or on the stovetop until it's soft and then mashed with a fork and a little breastmilk or formula into baby food. If you want to get really easy, make a whole bag of carrots or whatever at once, use a blender to smoosh it and then smear the puree into ice cube trays. Freeze 'em and you'll have single servings all ready to be defrosted and eaten.

Don't use a lot of salt, sugar or spices yet. Not that they're always bad, but you want him to get used to lots of different flavors, not the same ones all the time. That doesn't mean he can't enjoy hot things - one of my daughter's (25 months) favorite lunches is a can of kidney beans mixed with a chopped tomato and diced jalapenos. She loves it, even though it's spicier than I like! She's always loved spicy things, even as a baby.

As he gets bigger, ignore children's menus. Really, just throw them away. Order him some fun appetiser instead, or just feed him off your plate. Children's menus are filled with the crappiest, blandest foods out there and are pretty much perfect for making picky eaters out of anyone.

If you are concerned about raising a picky eater, you may need to start to eat some of the foods yourself. Or maybe pretend that you do. Make foods that have good nutrition and if you want to make them look fun for the child you can pick up those recipe books for children, and they have really cute ideas in them. My daughters favorite was called a toad in a hole. It was take a piece of bread, cut a circle out of the center, butter one side and place it in a fry pan. Then crack a egg into the center of it and cook it . You can use the circle that you cut out for the top of the hole and let the child open the hole up to discover the toad! She would eat her eggs and toast in minutes. I would let the girls develop recipes with my juicer and they drank so many natural juices! Their favorite was carrot, apple and ginger root. I would sneak some spinach, or celery into some of those drinks to make sure that they got all of their vegetables and fruits. Go to the book store and get a children's cook book and you and your child will enjoy making food and your child will grow up and want to start to cook and invent new dishes thus needing to try new foods.

Take a banana bread recipe out of Betty Crocker, wherever, and replace the white flour with whole wheat, and addd some ground flax seed to make it healthier.

I make homemade chicken nuggets for mine. Boneless chicken breast cut into strips, coated with bread crumbs and baked, not fried in the oven. Love them. Homemade mac and cheese is a great one too. Use any kind of cheese and mix with cream, Bake mixture and macaroni in oven.
