can it even call itself Mtv?
what happened to the MUSIC element of it?
all i see now are "reality" shows and dating shows.
the music that they do have is crap and when they do play music, they don't even play the whole song!
how can they consider themselves a music tv channel?
what do you think? :]

TRL is the only show they seem to play music during the day, in which they don't even play the whole video, and I heard they weren't going to do TRL anymore! MTV is a joke, and a bad influence on the young kids that watch it!

I agree with you that it's now more of a channel full of 30 minute reality and dating shows, not much of a music channel anymore! I remember when it was a brand new channel back in 1982? and it was great! VH1 has gotten this way too. You have to go to VH1 Classics to see an actual video these days. I know that there are music videos in the morning hours and late at night but the rest of the day is just fluff!

i think you are right! i think MTV sucks!! i guess it started happening around the time beavis and butthead were born, cuz that's when the dopey game shows, dating crap began. julie brown one and two, house of style, remote control (80's though), the jenny mccarthy stupid show, then came the real world. newlyweds uggh. it is anything but music.

the only thing i have now is the alternative which reminds me of the days of mtv as most of the songs are 80's and 90's
mtv sucks, but fuse isn't that great either. guess i have to make a pirate station if people want videos.

i couldn`t agree more, it should be called the reality channel or something...it`s not like it used to be when it started out all those years ago...it`s a shame really, but there are other options available at least...i don`t even tune in to mtv any more, i mainly watch music vids on youtube or whatever...

MTV only puts on music in the morning as they have converted there main channel which is the original MTV to a T.V. show , you should try MTV2 as they have most of the music videos or watch BET .

i totally agree.
they make a new show about EVERYTHING. like kaui and taquia (sp?) what the heck is that about? and over half of the shows are about dating. date my mom, exposed, parental control, next. sheesh. i'm getting kind of annoyed. but w-e.
