I find that any party with any lasting power, eventually builds bad habits and tends to lend an ear to only the most lucrative voice. This is Republicans and Democrats and I guess ANY party that takes power for a prolonged amount of time. I guarantee you the same old habits and lobbyists will be waiting for Republicans when they get back in power, just like they were when Democrats got back in in November. Its the same old leaders, handing down recommendations to the best asskissers taking their place. The cycle continues. Democrats tell us things will be much different when they get in power, but they will do the same as the Reps. They will address the most current, headline issues and deal with them accordingly. Then they will slip back behind the whitehouse curtain and Americans will stop paying attention. Thats when all the bad stuff happens. When nobodies looking. People tend have a "sports" mentality about politics, and its real bad for us.

This stuff isn't a game, and as long as they have you trying to one-up the other party, you're distracted from whats they're really doing.

Two things to remember about YOUR political party:

(1) If your party is addressing a moral issue, its not for moral reasons.
(2) If your party is addressing a fiscal issue, its not for the reason they're telling you.

you are so right.
that is why I belong to he only political party that IS for the American people.

I am an American Patriot

once the rest of the nation wakes up to the lies and manipulation of the greedy self-serving Repub's and Demo's.

give america back to the people. take corporate special interest out.

put the interest of the people in general FIRST. not your party supporters. not the corporates and other "non-profit" interest that are forcing there idea of America on the rest of us, ( meaning the lower 1/3 of america, the one's with NO voice.)

I would ask anyone who is sick of the system the way it is, start a branch of the American Patriots in your town. Let others know that you've woke up to the greed and your working and slaving so you can have a good life too, not just working yourself to death for some greedy bastard who does'nt give a crap about you. (and passes laws that restrict you. not him, that deny you true justice.)

who's sick of seeing wealthy and priviledged citizens shovel their religion, and political views down our throats and if you disagree, your unamerican, unpatriotic, and a Atheist.

then this same people break the very laws they impose up us without consious, and most hardly get slapped on the wrist. yet the common man commit the same crime, he is Branded for Life and pays through the nose, both physically and financially.

screw those self-serving S.O.B.'s and let them choke on their Lobster while driving there HUMMERS off a cliff, while there wifes best friend "shifts gears" on them. then when this same joker cries that you need to quit driving so much you driving up the price of gas. I say make him ride the city bus. and if Poor People ate more Pork, the quality of lobster would improve. and when he screams how immoral we are, remind him of his 'affair'. of course he will have "legitimate" reasons for what he does.

I have preached this for 30 years. America is waking up.
still a little groggy, but some of us already have our eyes WIDE OPEN. and we are taking names.

Bush is the worst president in History. I know he's not smarter than a fifth grader. but the poor depend on him. and they supported his views until he started acting like a demigod. (no, not democrat) and now keeps calling us unpatriotic and atheist because we disagree with his inability to win a war he declared won. all the while, ignoring the real problems that are ripping this country apart. he has no domestic agenda at all. it's all corporate smoke and mirrors.

don't fret Repub's, Demo's are not any better. so don't start spouting your rhetoric.

Well said. Well thought. and frighteningly true.
There are however basic principles to which each party steadfastly adheres.
The Dems want to take our guns away and be everything to everybody (and pay for this with BIG tax increases).
The Reps will protect big business to the expense of all else.

Personally my Second Amendment Rights are tantamount of my priorities so I have been a staunch Rep for many years but.....
This Border fiasco, with the imprisonment of Agents Ramos and Campean (Google "Ramos and Campean") has me "up in arms". The "powers that be" seem to have decided that the interests of Mexico outweigh our sovereign border and that of our "citizen servants" . This I find intolerable and have told the Republican National Committee that if they (Ramos and Campean ) are not pardoned " I WILL NOT VOTE IN THE 2008 ELECTION". The election will be very close and they cannot, in reality, afford to lose even 1 vote.
This is how strongly I feel about this subject. In MANY years I have never failed to vote.

Darn Straight. The parties are basically the same. We need to vote them ALL out. Get fresh blood in there and have them cut the beauracracy by 75%. Our laws are being written by people we have not elected to office.
FORCE our politicians to read each and every word of a bill. Gosh make them take a QUIZ on it before they can vote on it.
