I have been told that, but I haven't seen the research to back it up. I can tell you in my office that Red and Yellow seem to be ticketed more often than other less noticible colors. I know that Streamlined cars are ticketed more often than others, because they appear to be going faster

There was an article about 5 months ago on this very subject. The conclusion was that, No, red cars are not ticketed more than any other color cars. Do a yahoo search on the Associated Press for this topic. You'll find a whole article study. You can also get supporting facts from your local police department.

There was a study some years ago, and it did prove that red cars do get more tickets than other colors. I can't remember who did the study, it may have been an insurance company or a local news agency, but I do remember seeing it on TV.

Anything that draws attention to you makes it more likely that you will be singled out. That makes sense.

There may be correlation but not causality here - people who like to speed might prefer red cars.
