I emailed the graduate counselor asking when I can expect to hear a reply, and she asked me if I have been accepted elsewhere....I said yes and she stated she is making a list of applicants with a deadline..........What does this mean?????
As far as my admissions chances goes what exactly does this mean if anything?

It means that they probably haven't made a decision yet on you -- but since you have a deadline for your other program, they will make an attempt to give you a decision before you have to accept or reject the other school.

it sounds like maybe they have a rolling admissions but because they know you are looking at, and have been accapted to another school they are making more of an effort to review your application before those people who, as far as they know, have just applied to their school.
GOOD LUCK :-)

it most likely means that you are on a waiting list to be accepted to the program (graduate school) based on your gpa (grades)---the most likely asked if you had been accepted elsewhere because they know that they have a long waiting list and that only a small few off that list will be accepted if any

i guess you will have to wait for the answer, thought. I am in the same process right now and i had heard answers as the ones you had received. btw, my fiance's mom. who knows how is the procedures to get admited in college, she told me that it takes time to proceed. So... you better keep looking forward for more options where, whenever, it can be faster.
