*** What should I ask for if my employer asks me to move out of state with the company? ***

* A five year contract with a full payment to you, whether terminated or you leave of your own. This should be duly signed and reviewed by your own lawyer.

* Complete employer covered moving and living expense

* one year salary up front payed to you.

* The right of first refusal on any available promotions within the company.

* Unrestricted use of a company car.

* Employer payment of private school for any of your children.

*Complete premium medical coverage for you and your family.

Good luck and have a pleasant day.

Personally I would ask for 1) a raise, 2) relocation assistance - if they want you to move out of state they had better be paying for all of your relocation costs, 3) Room and board until you find something on your own.

Those seem to be reasonable requests to me. I would definately ask for at least the first two.

Hope this helps and good luck in your venture!

complete moving expenses (like paying for someone to pack and move your entire residence, including your car!), a bonus would be nice, and paid time off to go look for a house/apartment, schools for kids if you need them, etc.

most of that is probably a given but never hurts to ask
