the dark-side clouds their vision lol...the same way they didn't know about the sith...palpating was countering their attempts.

Because Palpatine was using the Dark Side to hide this from the Jedi Council. This is also why the Jedi Council didn't know about the plot to exterminate all Jedis until it was too late. This is explained in episode 3 when Mace and Yoda are discussing whether or not to tell the Senate that they can no longer sense the Sith.
i could get a lot more in depth and reveal my true dorkiness, but there isn't enough time..but this should answer you question adequately

Okay... display of extreme-geekiness: as I understand it, the force is flowing... yet mysterious... there ARE no absolutes. The force may be SENSED... but it isn't a perfect view into the future or anyone's mind... particularly if trained.
In "The Empire Strikes Back" (Chapter 26 - Yoda's Hut): Yoda mentions that HE has "watched" Luke and finds him lacking "Mind always on the future, no on WHERE he is..."
In "The Empire Strikes Back" (Chapter 28 - Jedi Training): Yoda states that the Dark Side is easy, seductive... suggesting that the Force may be self-aware in itself... able to manipulate the USER... guiding actions and FATE.
In "The Empire Strikes Back" (Chapter 31 - There is No Try): Yoda speaks of the pervasiveness of the Force... yet also explains the difficulty in reaching the level of contact and mastery of it.
In "The Empire Strikes Back" (Chapter 33- Seeing the Future): Yoda states "Thru the force, things you will see. Other places, the future, the past, old friends long gone." He then clarifies, "Difficult to see, always in motion is the future..."
Then in "The Empire Strikes Back" (Chapter 36 - Leaving Dagobah): Obi Wan says to Luke, "You don't know that... even Yoda can not see their fate." regarding Lukes vision of Han and Lea's danger.
The secondary question would be WHY didn't the EMPEROR know about Luke and Lea ? In "Revenge of the Jedi" (Chapter 14 - Yoda's Twilight): Obi Wan explains to Luke that he and Lea were hidden to protect them from the Emperor.
It is only just prior to Luke and Darth Vader's duel that the Emperor realizes that Lea exists... and ONLY because Luke is thinking so hard on the danger.

Because is convenient to the plot, Star Wars is not deep. There is so many questions to be asked about the why the Jedi couldn't figure out if they had the force within them, that many men and women over 25 who own a Jar Jar action figure would try and lecture you about, but the truth is this, IT'S A MOVIE, a very successful movie, but a movie nonetheless. All those people who look at Star Wars as a way of life should remember who the actual audience was supposed to be: children.

Because George Lucas fell a sleep and forgot how to write a Star Wars movie and that crap came out instead.
Just pretend Episode 1, 2 nor 3 ever happened and everything will be all right.

Because it's convienent for the script for them to not find out.
That's really the only real answer that I can come up with for you.
Because logically, it doesn't make much sense.
Especially with Luke and Leia kicking away inside of Padme. Those two are particularly strong in the force. And you'd think someone would notice.

to understand for particular, i could in all likelihood propose reading the books. yet from what i talked about interior the films it looked like Obi Wan considered Anakin to be a straightforward sufficient pupil no longer to get emotionally in contact consisting of her. Anakin became assigned to be her bodyguard so as it truly is the perfect rationalization as to why they were residing mutually. i do not imagine Obi Wan easily discovered out till later in episode III.

Because they had a quickey marriage in Vegas. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. This blocked the other Jedi from being to see that they were bumping nasties.

Why was it that only Yoda knew he was going to get mowed down by the clones and no one else (no other jedi) did?

Thats an interesting question! I wish my hubby was here to explain. Maybe Anakin figured out a way to hide it within himself.
