I can easily recall many lines of text, numbers, and "see" pictures. Although my vision is not great and I have needed glasses since the age of 11. I remember plain events (not just special ones) with clarity for many years afterwards.

Let me give you and example of what a photographic memory is.
In 1959 I was traveling on a train, which stopped at a station in Oklahoma and they gave everybody a ten minuet break to get out and stretch our legs. Somebody pointed and old indian and told me he is 110 years old and has a photgraphic memory, go ask him something. I saundered up to him and was trying to come up with a question , when they called every body to board. So I hurried and asked him what he had for breakfast eighty years ago, he replied eggs, before I could ask him another I had to reboard. Well twenty years later I passed through their again and he was still hanging around that station. I walked up to him jokingly raised my hand and said "how" indian style. He quckly replied scrambled.

You can test yourself by asking some one to show you a picture then put it back down. Have them ask specific questions about the picture and if you can answer them you have photographic memory.
