I want to buy a new computer to be able to play MS Flight Simulator X. I was looking at the new HP m8000n, Athlon 64 X2 5200+, 2gig memory, 500g HD and combined that with 7600gt or ati x1900pro. Is this a great thing or would you recommend something else?

The PC you are considering is not just great ...... it is "very" great.
I'm familiar with that line of computers & assure you that you will not be disappointed.

- no proprietary parts whatsoever
- lots of room for expansion
- best service & support in the industry

That's a pretty strong gaming rig that you are buying. Your FSX will surely fly to your satisfaction.

However, since you are getting a new rig, you might get Vista with it or you might consider it later. If that is the case, you might want to conside the new DX10 video cards that run under Vista.
