i honestly don`t think that`s appropriate, i mean how would u feel if your fiance gave u a piece of jewelry that belonged to an ex-boyfriend or ex-fiance???...i know u have only the best intentions, but as a female i would be more than a little upset to find that my engagement ring had once belonged to your former luv...it`s a bit like saying she`s not good enough or u don`t luv her enough to choose a special piece of jewelry only for her...

The ring should be picked out to match the uniqueness of your intended. How do you think your fiance would feel if you gave her the same ring you gave your ex? Most women would not take kindly to that and you may even risk physical injury. Sell the ring or perhaps even have the stone put into a different style setting...but DO NOT give the exact same ring to the new girl!

You know what that is a difficult question. But my answer is no because first of all, I believe it is bad luck, and second it just is not right. Another thing if she doesn't like the setting and wants to go back to the jewelry store, what are you going to say then? Try to sell the ring on ebay.com or put an ad in the newspaper or your local Pennysavers. Then either go together or buy your fiance a beautiful new engagement ring with no baggage and bad memories attached to it. Good Luck

Absolutely not. What if down the road you run into her again with your new wife... She'd probably see that and that could send your marriage into turmoil.
Plus your fiance if she found out probably would think that you didn't think she was important enough to buy her a new one..
My suggestion, pawn off the old ring and buy a new and improved ring.

BAD KARMA!!
You're bring negative energy to you new fiance. Its not hard to find another ring -- I just think you're being lazy and looking for an easy way out -- this is just a symptom of bigger problems in your life.
Would you like her to give you some of her old finance things?????? Like some of his old underwear, pjs, toothbrush??? EXACTLY -- i didn't think so -- It hurts when the shoe is on the other foot -- especially a stilleto!! LOL!!
Besides, what two women have the same taste in rings? Unless its a spectacular diamond -- like 4 or 5 cts.!!! Then it wouldn't probably matter to her!!

That's a big no-no. Unless you want to end up with a non-professional vasectomy...You should trade in the old ring and purchase a new ring with the money made from the old ring.

If I was your fiancé I wouldn't want a ring that you ex has already worn, but I see where you're coming from, an engagement ring costs a lot of money, but I'd save up to buy a new one.

"Would you give your new fiance your ex's engagement ring?" Not if I still wanted her to be my fiance and not if I wanted to live!

If it was a family heirloom, then you can give it to your new fiance. But if it was bought to ask the old fiance to marry you, and you give it to your new fiance, you better hope she never finds out you bought that ring for another woman.
