If you are speaking of Franklin, then it was this...he was a rich man who had great sympathy and feeling for those who had little or nothing. Normally our presidents are men with money who seek power, Franklin shared the power and gave the US worker a purpose and a decent living. God Bless President Roosevelt and his compassionate wife Eleanor, very interesting couple to read about.

FDR came along when the country really needed someone with different ideas to help the U.S. out of the depression(1929-1932). He didn't disappoint. He came up with many plans during his administration (the formation of the CIA, for example). It became known as "alphabet soup."
