hi moms! it's my 2nd pregnancy, the first 1 was diagnosed to be a blighted ovum. now in my 2nd, if based on my LMP, it should be 11 weeks by now but when i had my ultrasound 2 weeks ago, it appeared to be 4 weeks and 6 days. i have no spotting..my OB said that i might have a nutritional deficiency since i didn't have any appetite and would always vomit for a month. should i be worried about this? thank you for your reply.

there is no such thing as a nutritional deficency in early pregnancy as the egg will take all the nourishment it needs from the mothers body it is like a leech sucking your blood, the mother is the one that suffers health wise at this time whilst baby flourishes are you sure your dates are right?

Hello,
What will happen if I have an early pregnancy failure (blighted ovum)?
At first you might notice some reddish-brown staining, or have no spotting at all. Later you might have cramps or bleeding as your hormone levels recede. If you're having cramps or bleeding, or your uterus isn't growing as it should, or if your healthcare practitioner can't hear the baby's heartbeat with a Doppler by 12 weeks or so, you'll have an ultrasound to check on your baby. If it's a case of early pregnancy failure, the ultrasound will show an empty gestational sac.

When are you scheduled to go back? Did you see a yolk sac or anything in the gestational sac? There is a huge difference between almost 5 weeks and 9 weeks at the time of the sonogram. Did your dr check your hcg levels? When does he have you coming back? Sorry, I don't want to scare you, but I would be worried because that is a whole month's difference in where your baby should actually be. Were you sure of your dates?
