Fighting terrorists who wish to force destruction upon the west and America, yes. Invading nations that POSE NO THREAT to America, no. We should be manly, admit the mistake, and MOVE ON! Sabre rattling is just wasted energy.

I don't think either Republicans or Democrats mean to be a true enemy within. This country has great division in opinion at this time. It is divided and people have opposing viewpoints as to what the best course of action is. Some say leave Iraq and some say stay and fight. Feelings run strong right now....polar opposites almost. Everybody wants the best for this country but they just cannot agree what it is. To me, I have to agree with you that we need to admit our mistake and move on. People are scared after the 9/11 tragedy. They wanted someone....anyone Muslim and mideastern to pay for it. We do not have a leader with the mentality to see what the long rang result is going to be with his actions. I would love to see this war over and our troops home. Bush is known for his inflexibility and refusal to listen to anyone. He has neither the guts or grace to admit his mistake on this and people are dying daily because of it. This war has lasted longer than World War 2 and shows no signs of any progress or end in sight. At tthis point, Congress stepped in. Bush is totally out of touch with reality on this and he has let his personal hatred of Iraq color his viewpoint of what is the priority here. Priority should not be Iraqi freedom....it should be the protection of the USA. How can we be protected when our military is stretched to the limit in Iraq and our funds taken for that?

One does have to wonder if you aren't on to something. Take the days following 911. Knowing that many of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, what does the Bush admin do? They gather up a whole airliner full of Saudi bigwigs (and Bin Laden relatives) and whisk them out of the country before anyone can ask them one single question. In the weeks prior to 911, they chose to minimize the intelligence they had been given that attacks with airplanes were on the horizon. Fast forward again to having Bin Laden cornered in Afghanistan, what do they do? Drop the ball, and head to Iraq (where NONE of those 911 hijackers were from)...and here we find ourselves stuck in this God awful quagmire today. Talk about the gang that couldn't shoot straight !

No Republicans are not the true enemy within. If any party could be viewed as an emey of the US it would be the Democrats, but I dont even think they are an enemy, just very misguided.

Respectfully, were you "under a mushroom" on 911? We were so vunerable...what a perfect opprotunity for communist invasion---especially if the plane that was destined for the Whitehouse had gotten to it OR if the Pentagon had suffered worse attack (lives would most surely have been lost if it had been hit harder).

My dear Liberal Friend. I'm challenging everyone to check out facts? And make questions, based on finding answers to how to fix the many problems that we face. If there is an actual disagreement to how you see this Country being used? Give us the facts. Ans let us choose how we see it. This rampant barrage of accusations, have gotten way to deep into just being stupid. And I challenge, you, as a Democrat? And as a Fellow American. Let's show that uppity Washington Bunch that we can be Civil in our tone. And respectful in our approach to questions. And show them how it should be done. I hope you'll join me.

I think hatred is the enemy and I see most of it coming from the left. Do you realize that we are not "invading" Iraq but protecting innocent people from insurgents who are?
