Well done you, now keep going... you will get there soon:-)
My friend was nervous person, she lacked confidence a lot, then I suggested that she learn to drive, she was shocked by this because back then, some ten years ago, we were both rising 53 years old.
She stalled and stalled in making up her mind and statred and stopped lessons a couple of times, because her hsuband was not seriously encouraging. I kept on at her, told her once she'd learned, her confidence would grow in more ways than she knew.
She took a couple of years to get there, but she made it about seven years ago, and the daqy she threw away her L plates, she was scared to drive alone and didn't want her husband criticising her, so I offered to go with her and let her practise on the duel carriageway, the one bane of her driving lessons... she was amazed I never got concerned and kept my calm and asked me why I trusted her... although I was ready to take wheel and my foot wanted to brake, I never showed it outwardly and told her, "The test centre passed you safe to drive... so you are safe." she was chuffed to bits on our return and grew in confidence and in attitude (unfortunately) and today, I never see her (long story) but back then... she needed to build up her self esteem, I think I helped a bit, even if I did shoot myself in the foot as her ex friend latterly:-)
I know she is a good driver today and that she can cope in ways she never did before, with stresses life throws at her... actually, she inherited millions and turned her back, after 51 years of friendship... such is life:-)
What I'm saying though, is that, you can and will gain more than driving skills from this experience... just promise me you wont be an aggressive driver when you've got the hang of it... please?
I passed my test weeks after being hit by a car on a lesson and almost dying... it had been my last double lesson before the test... I determined to get back in the driving seat ASAP and I did... on painkillers... and I passed, I was 28 alone with five little kids that I so wanted to take further than our block:-)
I've been a clean driver of 34 years, with no points, no claims, ever. And all I get back is a five year no claims... not fair is it;-)
Good luck... come back and shout aloud when you have passed and I'll try and say congratulations too:-)
hurried, no spell check (not working) no edit... logging off, gotta dash!

Sure. I had to take the driving test several times before I passed. There were times when I felt like giving up but fortunately, I didn't. Passing the test changed my life and I would tell anyone who is not very confident as a learner driver not to lose heart. Sometimes we make progress, sometimes we get a bit worse than before but if you feel that you are making progress most of the time, then you are fine. Every time you make a mistake, tell yourself that you are not going to make it again. It really helps by saying this to yourself.

Well I "Applaud You, Hun!!" You deserve thee Biggest Pat on the Back!!" Good For You!! This is such Wonderful News!! And doesn't it make you feel so good about yourself too!!?? To finally face those "Frustration's in the Eye" and defeat them is "Quite a Big Accomplishment!!" You could have gotten so "Frustrated with it all, and just said "Forget this, and threw in the towel, but you didn't no matter what you had your mind set, you were going to get this right, and you did!!" That takes a "Strong woman" to not throw in the towel such as yourself!!! Now you can give your testimony to your children one day, or your friends children, or anyone, to help them "Not to give up on things thier butting heads with in life, you know"!!! Good For you!! Congratulations are in order, here!! Smile!!!

Well done, aint an easy task, took me years to get confidence. Used to turn the steering wheel as I was changing into third gear, all the time. And dogs seemed to appear on the roads everywhere I went.
But Congrats on almost making it! Burn those L plates...

CONGRATS NATI, I AM REALLY PROUD OF YOU. I AM KINDA IN THE PROCESS OF DOING THE SAMETHING, MY BOYFRIEND BROUGHT ME A CAR ALREADY AND I HAVE TO GET THE HANG OF THINGS SO I CAN GET MY LICENSE. NEXT WEEK I AM GONNA GET THE CAR AND INSURANCE IN MY NAME AND I WILL BE SET. BUT KEEP ANOTHER THING IN MIND YOU WILL GET BETTER & BETTER AS TIME PROGRESS. IT BOTHERS ME WHEN PEOPLE COMPARE MY DRIVING TO THEIRS, I SAY BUT LOOK HOW LONG YOU BEEN DRIVING. I'M STILL IN THE BEGINNING STAGES SO I WON'T BE AS GOOD AS THEM UNTIL WE START DRIVING ON A EVERYDAY BASICS. REMEMBER WATCH ALL 3 MIRRORS, TAKE YOUR TIME AND IT'S NEVER TO EARLY OR TO LATE TO STOP. BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU WILL BE TEACHING KAI WHEN HE GETS OLDER.
