23 is still very young. So you are definitely not too late in starting a new career. I would probably say that late 50's is a bit late to start thinking of a new career as the pension age is not too far away but saying that my mum is 60 and is going to train as a Nurse this year which is a complete career change for her.

Career? Man, some people only start a career when they are 80. No kidding.
Besides. When you look back in , say, 20 years you will see it was a smart move and you could not have planned your career better.
Age is the most UN-important factor to base your decision on.
Good luck.

I changed my career at 22, then again at 25, then again at 35 and again at 36. I fully expect I may have to change direction at least another twice before i reach retirement at 80. Start a new career. Enjoy the ride.

HAHAHAHA You are so funny. I thought you were going to say that you were 53. At 23 I didn't even have my first career yet. Keep changing careers until you are happy or married with children.

My husband is thinking of going on a training course and he's 50!
Why are you even thinking about it,with retiring age rising, you have another 47 years of working, freaking hell that looks bad when you write it down doesn't it!
