Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T5200 1.6ghz More expensive

Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2060 1.6ghz Cheaper

AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core 1.6ghz has 1600 fsb

All three processors are listed as having the same speed, two are from Intel, is there any real difference in performance, and is that performance noticeable? Because if not then should I not buy the cheaper laptop based on that, coming from the same manufacture? It seems Acer has the best deals, but is their warranty any good, I am talking here about their international warranty? As I intend to travel with it.

If the Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo T5200 is from DELL Company...zen its ze best cuz it provides u with internal Bluetooh, infrared n WIFI port... If u wana play games, zen ze AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core 1.6ghz is ze best, but u shoud put a RAM of at least 1 GB with it..

If its for work purposes, zen ze Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2060 wud fit more 2 u...

Processing speed is ze same...
but the dual core heats less n therefore much data can travel in and out of the processor

im sure zat u knw zat heat causes increase in resistance, which in turns decrease ze data speed with time...zats y, u see zat an AMD processor heats a lot!!!..better buy a pentium...

The Core 2 Duo is faster than the others (it can do more work in each clock cycle) and it also uses less power than the others so that is the better option.

What the Pentium Dual-Core T2060 is seems to be a bit of a mystery, it's probably a decent processor but whether it is based on a desktop chip or a laptop chip is actually unknown though it seems to be a Core Duo with less L2 cache (which should give it about the same performance as the Turion although battery life might be a bit better).

The Turion is slower and runs hotter (using more power) than the Core 2 Duo but it's still a good processor if cost is more important than performance and battery life.

Whether you'd actually notice depends on what you're going to do with your laptop. If you play games you'll want to get the faster Core 2 Duo (and you'll also want to get a decent graphics chip from ATi or nVidia and not the inter integrated graphics most laptops seem to have but other than that it probably won't matter what you get.

When it comes to warranties for laptops make sure you get a three year warranty even if you have to pay extra (and also make sure that the extended warranty you pay for actually is a warranty). If you want to know whether the warranty is any good you'll just have to read the terms of it.

In order of best performing the Core 2 Duo is the best performing processor while the Pentium Dual Core is the worst performing of the three. The Core 2 Duo is the most current processor and outperforms any laptop processor currently on the market. If you decide to purchase an Acer laptop, buy a 5 year warranty, as you will need it. Their quality is not the best. Cheap and reliable never go together. The top laptops built are made by Apple and IBM/Lenovo.
