Actually, she was rather unattractive. Coin images of her depict a rather bony face and a large nose. This is also borne out by descriptions of her by several Romans -- most notably, Cicero.

But what even her most fervant detractors note is that what she lacked in looks, she more than made up for in wit, style, and disarming charm. She simply captivated men with her alluring ways. Even those who hated her somehow couldn't escape her charms.

properly, Cleopatra became a member of the domicile of Ptolemy, who have been Greek. in spite of if, i'm unsure why you're saying 'yet she became an Egyptian' as though Egyptians can't be appealing. in case you seem at Egyptian artwork you will see that there have been very many appealing Egyptian women people. evaluate the in demand bust of Nefertiti as an occasion. The busts of Cleopatra that I even have seen instruct her as an extremely appealing female. On funds, her head shows an extremely stable profile with an extremely fashionable nostril, astounding quite than appealing, yet that could have been a classic style for coinage.

Based on her pictures printed in some coins found recently, she wasn't beautiful at all. She was actually ugly. Maybe she was beautiful for that time and Civilization, but not for the beauty standards of our modern society.

Cesar thought she was beautiful, but maybe the wealth of Egypt improved her appearance. Several pieces of art were made, statues, mosaics, paintings, and coins were made of her, a few she even poised for. But after nearly two thousand years which ones actually resemble her are debatable.
I do not htink that she was ugly, but I do think that the crown of Egypt would made her look awhole lot better.
For her appearence I would refer to the references that were made of her when she was alive.

After all these years, she has terrible split ends, bad skin and a body smell that's less than desirable. But her beauty is what God gave her, so I guess she's as beautiful as she can be for a multimillenia corpse.

based on evidence some say she looked somewhat like marc anthony but on some coins she has a long neck and looks like a bird of prey... experts words not mine...... she was in a position of power which usually trumps beauty....although she was very manipulative.. however I would think you would have to be in a position of power like hers

Supposedly she was very beautiful.

However, our idea of beautiful today can be VERY different from their idea of beautiful in ancient Egypt.

No, she was a very plain looking woman, she was cursed with the Ptolemy nose, which was long and hooked, what made her gorgeous was her absolute stunning intellect and her charisma.
