Zidane's heabutt will be the lasting image of the 2006 world cup, like Owens goal is of the 98 world cup, Maradona's goal is of the 86 World cup, Baggios penalty miss in the final of 94...

I'd say D) to me becuz I really liked the fact that Germany whooped Argentina!!! But then that one between England and Portugal was sad, sad, sad... And the Italy-France penalty shootout during the final--what kind of final is decided through penalties?!
But to alot of other people--definitely the head-butt!
You're welcome.

HAHA.. nice question.. I think all these events made the 2006WC unforgettable, including the England Portugal game, but only that I thoroughly enjoyed it as I expected Portugal to win.. but fron your list... i'll choose (a) and (b) as being the main ones.

i would go with d, although i think that pks are stupid. ex. englands fall to portugal. i myself am a portugal fan and have been for over 8 years now, but i think pks aren't a true way to determine the winner of a game. but what can i say, you live and die by the pks.

none of the above.
well actually c is the closest for me. it's the european teams continuing their winning streak of winning the world cup when europe hosts the event. traditional south american powerhouses (argentina and brazil) continue to miserably fail in euro-based world cups.
