Nipples develop before the Y chromosome activates the gender in an embryo, so they are in both genders. There has never been an evolutionary advantage to get rid of nipples. They make a nice topping for the pectoral muscle.

You might also ask "If woman was made from man's rib, why do men and women have the same number of ribs?"

The answer is, of course, that Woman did not come from Man, the sexes developed billions of years ago. The diversity afforded to sexual reproduction has led to the variety of large animals we see today.

The creation myth of women coming from men is exactly backwards. When an embryo starts to develop, it is female. It is only after about 2-3 months into the pregnancy that the Y chomosome kicks in and starts to devolop male features. Those nipples have already started to develop before it is determined that a fetus will become male.

This is basic science. Fact, not fiction.

Both the nipples on Men and Women have the same function but men and women have different Hormones. The hormones women have make lactation possible. Men can lactate and have milk and have large mammaries and softer skin if they take female hormones artificially

BUT just taking hormones does not change sexual determination and men cannot give birth form a uterus and womb that are necessary for birth from just taking hormones because they have a Y chromosome that sexually determines them as a male. Also men must continue to take hormones artificially to stimulate this behavior they have no capability to create these hormones naturally

Men and women are of the same species just different sexual orientations

Because All humans sexually determined as Women only have just X (XX) there sexual determination is female and they have softer skin, have mammary glands, lactate and have different sexual organs, a womb and uterus and can give birth

Because all humans sexually determined as Men have a Y chromosome (XY) they have sexual determination of Male and produce the hormones for male sexual function, there is a sexual determination gene on the Y chromosome

Woman didn't come from man...we both evolved, so both genders have nipples. It's just that the female, as the bearer of offspring, have nipples, that have a function.

men have nipples for the same reason women do because they have the ability to produce milk, but normally their milk glands do not develope the same as a womans therefore they dont grow breasts like we do but if given pills to induce lactation men to can breast feed.

My six year old daughter said: "Men don't have breasts; if they did, they would play with them all the time"

We have nipples so we can understand foreplay!
