Right now the divorce rate in America is 50% meaning only 1 out of 2 marriages will last. I think the divorce rate for 2nd marriages is even higher...65% from what I remember. I heard these statistics on the news. If people would take marriage more seriously and really listen to the vows before they say them, more people would stay married. Commitment through better or worse is the part that many people seem to just not get.

8 marriages to professional women with money for him to live off of. No money at 74, homeless, car returned, evicted from apartment for mental illness. Where are the live in situations now?
You get what you give to marriage and family. For Better or Worst goes for both husband and wife. That is the Blessing in Marriage....Real Marriage...not shaking

depends on how long your relationships been before the marriage...
1-2 years = less than 30%
2-3 = less than 40
4-5 = less than 60
5-10 = less than 100

what is your defination of "successful marriage" and "unsuccessful marriage"...among so many many crores and billions of marriages in the world !!!..how do i supposed to know the "success" of all those marriages?Are you successful if you are married? it depends on individuals' attitude,outlook and viewpoint...not any percentage number exists like what you wanna mention along with other answerers!
