The guy I'm seeing is separated and have 2 kids. He is married and can't annul the marriage due to financial reasons (divorce is not allowed in our country ---wish it was!!!). He married her because she got pregnant and got pressured to marrying her because of their religion, which frowns upon pre-marital sex and pressures them to get married.
They have never really gotten along. The girl refuses to get a job. My guy is not paid that much in his job as he is an undergraduate and makes it difficult for him to move up the corporate ladder.
We are living together (but this is frowned upon as thought of as immoral in our country). My parents know him but doesn't know he has kids and still married.
We want to get married (so much!) but it takes around 5-10 yrs to get an annulment in our country. He is a good man, and more than what I hoped for. But I want to get married, I'm already 27 and I want to have kids with a man I'm married to.

There are plenty of jobs that are available but the employee doesn't get "paid that much" in the states so move, swing through Vegas get his divorce, settle down where you want and start your lives together as husband and wife. Barring that you need to either have him go back and be the husband that he legally is or accept that you will never be married and your kids will not carry his name. Not an appealing concept. If he truly wants to divorce her he will no matter what the lengthy time frame so get started with that, started with starting over elsewhere or get gone!

If an annulment takes that long and you want to be married before you have kids ....then there is going to be no compromise in this situation...............you either have to wait it out or leave.
BTW what country do you live in?.....sounds a bit behind the times for me!!!!!!
Also how can you get an annulment if there are children from the marriage?............i thought the annulment meant that the marriage never happened, so where does that leave the kids...........illegitimate???

I'll answer you question with a question.
What's more important?
A.) Religion
B.) The love you and your man share.
C.) What your family and or the society thinks of you.
D.) Having children to the man you are married too.
E.) Having children with the man you are in love with.
As an American, it would most likely be a 50/50 split between A and E. I don't know for sure I'm just guessing.
As for where you are from, I'm sure your standards are a little different.
I think you know the answer. Follow your hart.

What do you mean by "she got pregnant"? If your "boyfriend" had used proper protection, she would not have gotten pregnant. Furthermore, it's none of your business whether his wife gets a job or not. You are living with a married man who has left his own family to live immorally with you and you call him a good man? Both of you are dishonest and you certainly deserve each other.
