cows have the 4 stomachs we all know. however they have a bacteria within their stomach that secretes an enzyme that breaks down cellulos. cellulases are extremely rare enzymes in nature so as you can geuss humans dont have any cellulases therefore cannot break down cellulose so it is passed in feaces.

Here's another tidbit on the evolutionary development of cows (and all other ruminants) digestive system:

Cows natural feeding time is at dawn and dusk, between the nighttime and daytime predators. By gobbling up grass as fast as they possibly can, they get enough to eat (and cellulose means they need a LOT to eat) during those couple hours of each day. Between eating, they find a safe place to lie down, regurgatate the food from their first stomach, rechew it and swallow it back down to the next stomach.

cripes they are both realy simalar after the stomachs are done. the both remove the good stuff from the digested stuff and allow the rest to be expelled. both full of enzymes and bugs that help the process just geared to different food stuffs

if i remember rightly

he cow has 4 stomachs
As its main diet is grass and cellulose is hard to break down it goes through 4 stomachs to be digetsed
Even then the faeces might be reconsumed as there is still digetsible material in it
