How can I be offended by a list of books, some of which I have read?
Another book that is not on your list and should be read is:
'My War Gone by I Miss It So', by Anthony Loyd.
I am waiting for the day a decent director can turn this into a movie.

Interesting that you left "Clockwork Orange" from your listing but included "Requiem for a Dream" and "The Bell Jar" in both heading and text.

Is there a Judaic theme running throughout your selections?

If not, try: Keri Hulme's "The Bone People"; "A Question of Power" by Bessie Head; "Life & Times of Michael K" by JM Coetzee; or Louise Erdrich's "Tracks".

Most are confrontational and good reads. They are also written by people directly involved with the notion of oppressed minorities.

Try "The Trick is to Keep Breathing" by Janice Galloway, "A Complicated Kindness" by Miriam Toews, "A Prayer for Owen Meaney" by John Irving. You also might like "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer.

Wow, dude you are just like me. I really loved "Memoirs of a Geisha" and my favorite book is "A Clockwork Orange"...read the "Communist Manifesto" if you're into political rhetoric...I suggest "Life of Pi" as well. Oh my god, read "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov...another Stanley Kubrick film too.
