Peace cannot be gained by war, the only way you can gain peace is to try to understand others (other nations), their religion, not try to inerfere in their life and other peaceful manners not by participating, allowing and encouraging war, wheter yoy win it or not!! Its mean although the war as stopped, humans are still in danger because we are so freaking stupid. We will never win the peace until we decide that there is no more use for wars, and that we should all get along. its like a saying a used in a book i wrote: "Although the battle is over, the battle still isn't over." you cant look at that saying having to do with an actual war, but the battle for life and for happiness.

It means that the consequences of victory have not delivered us from the conditions for the possibility of future conflict. I believe that this reference was made about the use of nuclear weapons to end the war in the Pacific (World War II). What Einstein is saying that the advent of nuclear technology, even though it brought a particular war to an end, has created a greater and more significant threat to peace.
