This is funny because I was just asked this question earlier today!
My sister and I used to get it a lot when we were young. I would have a song stuck in my head, and my sister would start singing the song at the exact moment the same part was going through my head (that happened a few times).
As far as the pain connection, what we noticed over phone conversations was whatever pain one of us was having the other had pain to a much lesser degree on the opposite side of the body in the "same" location (i.e. my right ankle/her left ankle)
We've also bought a lot of items at the store around the same time that were the same product/color and what not (we have had 2 of the same cell phones without prior knowledge and the same sunglasses). One year for Christmas we got each other the same gift, but different colors. And there have been many times we've gotten our parents gifts with the same theme (i.e. aromatherapy for mom, time pieces for dad)

i know you said its only for twins but my partner and i have a unconcious connection i always know deep down inside when something has happened to him like the time he got crashed into and he wasnt even late meeting me i just got a wave of sickness and knew somthing had happened then half an hour later his mam phoned me to tell me to get to hospital quick, he survived but it has had a huge change on his life. then theres silly things like i always know where hes been without him even telling me and no thats not coz i stalk him or he has any routine. and he knew when i come home the other day i had a near crash i didnt say a word when i come in he just siad did you nearly have a crash at 3 oclock and it was at 3 oclock when a car came speeding up behind me and went skidding off the road and nobody had seen it to be able to tell him about it just myself and a two old men stood outside there house as it was a queit side street, so anybody close can have a connection like that not just twins!

Well, your siblings but twins. You two as far as I know, are connected, even if you are not twins. If the other one has a problem, you will feel sorry about it, but the thing your talking about, pain, has a little chance to come true.

I am a father of twin sons. However, they do not look alike. Unconscious connection at times indulge when twins look alike. I have once read in Readers Digest that when one twin was shot in the leg, the other was in pain though they were staying miles away.

I'm a twin and I don't necessarily know, although sometimes I'll be thinking of my twin at the same time she thinks of me. Most of what happens to us is explainable, but sometimes things occur that make me wonder. One night recently, I woke up thinking that she had called out my name. It was as clear as if I had really heard it. The next day I asked her about it, and she said she'd been sleeping and nothing had happened. So maybe it's all just coincidence.

Well, I have a twin.
We have some sort of connection. If one got sick, surely the next one will follow. Things like that.
