Liberals...?

Question

As we know, the liberals infestation is spreading in America. Is this not a sing that drug use is much more common, and that our current drug policies are failing?

I believe that we should change the punishment for drug use from a slap on the hand to a bullet in the head. What do you think we should do about this?

This would have to be the most fascist solution to a problem that I have ever heard. You obviously know nothing about the reason why drugs are illegal.

Just an FYI teen drug use is lower in countries like Amsterdam where it has been decriminalized.

Liberals are not the cause of drug use or dealing.It's the misuse and government policy whether its democrat or
republican,conservative,or moderate that dictate and in some ways enable drugs to become so prevalent in our
society.Addiction crosses all lines politically as well as socially.One way to deal with this matter is to stop illegal
immigration.All illegal immigration!Another is to amend the
law so that suppliers and that includes countries that pollute
our shores with this poison.That means no NAFTA or at
least a revision of its terms and conditions.One more thing;

I don't think that drug use is relegated to only the liberals. I recall back in the late 60's and early seventies many drug using antiwar liberals existed in this nation. Today those same people are drug using pro war conservatives. Wouldn't you know that some things do change while others don't !!!

This is rediculous, and so is anyone who played sports with the question.
Drug use is not a Republican or Democrat debate. It is a health and morality issue.
Legalize anything that won't immediately kill you, and if it does you chose it for yourself. Giving the people less harmful alternatives would immediately kill the private manufacture industry and dry up the illegal distribution circuits.
The effect would solve a lot of social problems and would also create some. But noone should be shot in the head for any reason associated with harming themselves. But harming someone else is a different equation.

The government should Grow it and sell it. Produce our own drugs not the dangerous drugs like ICE, Meth and others. Produce and sell them to registered users. You take away the criminal aliment and save all the money we are using to fight the drugs. Our tax burden would all but disappear. The drug cartels would disappear, the terrorists would lose their greatest source of income. We would still need some law enforcement to stop the outside drugs from coming in, but the users would rather have our high quality stuff. LOL

I don't think drug use has much to do with it. I have many friends that smoke marijuana, that are either considered conservative or libertarian. They have pretty much the same views as I, and I'm not liberal... In fact I think legalizing the less harmful drugs and unclogging our judicial system from petty minor possession crimes would benefit us and the economy.

The hardcore drugs like heroin, crack, and meth; need harsher sentences for sure. They're rarely used for occasional use and are very deadly no matter how often they are used!

I don't think it's a "sing" of anything. I know neocons who make habits of hitting the bong after a hard day from Wall Street, USA. So what's your point? Are you blaming libs for the rampant drug use in our society or just all the problems of society? Since the cons are in power, wouldn't it be prudent (Sorry, Pres. Bush #41) for them to take some responsibility for the decisions they've made in the past 6 years? No wonder you guys will lose miserably in the polls in 2008.
