Which excuses do you use in order to stay at home..(true or not..) and also the weirdest...! I usually just got the "good old faithful flu"...whats your excuse!

Two excuses that I have used quite effectively are, my garbage disposal is broken, the kitchen is flooded and I need to wait for the plumber.
I'm sick and it's coming out both ends.For this one you have to sound some what convincing.

The last excuse I used was that I got hit on the head with a playstation controller. It was true, and I spent 5 hours in a&e! got the day off work though.

An idiot I worked with actually phoned in to say that the snow was up to his bedroom window and he couldn't get out of the house. It had been snowing, but not to that degree. LOL
He also phoned in to say his grandmother had died. But he had to come in, as he had used that excuse before. LOL
I love the one: I am suffering from debility.
I used to say that I had been up all night vomiting etc etc, and before I could describe any more awful things they would say, get better soon, and hang-up.

That I coughed so hard I **** myself.
nobody wanted to let me go into detail. Too gross and the excuse worked.

WHEN I WAS ABLE TO WORK, I ALWAYS GAVE EXCUSES LIKE I HAD BACK SPASMS, OR I HAD A BAD HEAD ACHE......I NEVER COULD COME UP WITH ANY LAME EXCUSES!

-get someone to ring in for you and say that you keep being sick and can't come to the phone because you are throwing up right at that moment
-family member in hospital
-injured yourself on the way to work, need to go to A&E
