it depends how old he was
but i would never say grow up
if he was my son, like 9
i would ask if he was possibly over exaggerating
then i would talk to his sister about not putting rocks in the pillow case

i would tell him what i was told " did you finish what they started?!"
when i was a kid in my house if we got into a fight, and lost we were not allowed to cry about it, but we had better damn well made sure that, that person did go home and cry.

yes, and i tell mine to go hit him back if one hits the other. They get it out of their system much quicker.and only fight about once a week.
