A. It is very reactive once you rub off the protective surface. Didn't you do that experiment where you rub it with sandpaper and put it in hydrochloric acid and it goes all fizzy?
Are you american because in the UK we spell it Aluminium and oxidisation (for some weird reason).
An alkaline earth metal is:
Any of a group of metallic elements, especially calcium, strontium, magnesium, and barium, but generally including beryllium and radium. Also called alkaline earth

'A' is the correct choice. A perfectly clean aluminium surface has a brilliant sheen, unlike the whitish appearance of most objects made of aluminium. However this brilliant sheen is only visible in the absence of oxygen (e.g. in a vacuum): the instant it is exposed to air it oxidises and forms a tough, coherent film of the white aluminium oxide (Al2O3), which protects the underlying metal from further corrosion. Incidentally, this protection isn't 100% effective, so that aluminium objects do corrode very, very slowly, which explains why metallic aluminium isn't found in nature.
B. It is an extremely good conductor of electricity. I haven't got my data book with me, but I believe only silver, copper and gold are better. And that's why aluminium cable is used in high-tension transmission lines.
C. It is an extremely good conductor of heat, which is why it is used for frying pans, cooking pots etc.
D. The alkaline earth metals are: calcium, strontium, barium and radium. Beryllium and magnesium are sometimes included as alkaline earth metals, but aluminium certainly isn't.

A. B and C r definitely wrong and alkaline earth metals belong to Grp 2, while Al belongs to Grp 13, and thus is not an alkaline earth metal. It is true that it oxidizes rapidly to form a silvery coating.

Well by process of elimination
It does oxidise very quickly, hence TV aerials do not need to be painted, those little fisherman's row boats are unpainted etc.
So Not A.
Overhead high voltage Power cables are made of Aluminium so certainly not B
Portable cooking equipment ie Billy cans are made of Aluminium so not C.
That only leaves D. I have not checked D but thats the only one left.

A, that's why it can be used for cars and bike frames, without the protective coating, it would be far too reactive,
