I am 41 years old. Is it menopause or what?

Yes, this could possibly be menopausae related but I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to have this evaluated to see what could be causing this.

If by flu-like symptoms you mean hot and sweaty, intermittent with feeling cold then that could indicate peri(pre)-menopausal symptoms. But be safe if you are using tampons as flu-like symptoms in association with a period and tampon use could be more worrying. Tampon use can carry the risk of toxic shock syndrome that shows flu-like symptoms - but this is not usually a problem unless a tampon has been left in for way too long (over 24 hours).
I assume from your question that this is general for your periods, ruling out tampon issues. It is usual though that peri-menopausal symptoms are not necessarily at the time of the period but can come on at any time of the month, in response to reduced hormone levels. I would consider buyng Agnus Castus (chaste berry) as this is a hormone regulator and can help with early peri-menopause symptoms and/or PMS.
I do however also suggest you see your health practioner (nurse or doctor).

I am 38 and I feel the same way. I think its because of menopause..
