Ah I can't choose just one, but I'll see if I can narrow it down

The Narrow Way part 3 from Ummagumma
Dogs from Animals
Shine on You Crazy Diamond and Welcome to the Machine from Wish You Were Here (Ah how bout the entire album)
Comfortably Numb from The Wall

There's just too many to choose from

So many...

Essential Floyd would probably be a jam like Time or a rich, guitar smoker like Comfortably Numb. Best known would be Money or Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2. Weirdness would go to something from Syd or maybe Atom Heart Mother.

Top all-in-all, though, is Wish You Were Here.

How many people have heard that song and it irks the crap out of them? It's recognized easily, it has the classic Floyd sound, contains an effect or two, and just weird enough with its metaphors.

Its all about taste, but I think Wish You Were Here sums up the Pink Floyd sound and is a perfect example of the beautiful marriage of Waters lyrics and Gilmours musical genius at work and to top it off its about Syd (Floyds creator)and his state of mind, about being here but hes not really here.

Oh man.... that's like asking what's the best ice cream.
Or the best sex.

It's all good!

But... if forced to choose... I guess I'd say "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".

Wait, no.
"Us and Them".

No, hold on.
"One Of These Days".
Yeah...

No.
"Comfortably Numb".

Final answer.

I think.

I think that my favorite has to be "Learning to Fly" or "On the Turning Away". Just all around great friggin songs....although since you're asking for one, I'm gonna have to say "Learning to Fly".

That's a tough one.

Of course it is "Comfortably Numb". Both gimour and waters sing in it and i belive the best guitar solo of Gilmour is played in it.
