I have had birds eat my fish, eat my frogs and snakes, eat my bugs and spiders, and my tomatoes, berries, fruit. I have never had a bird lunch down on a flower. You must have bugs the birds are after. Those little pin wheels that you can get for kids at a dollar tree can be placed around and move and scare birds away. or a big rubber owl or a large rubber snake. If you use the props you will need to move them around don't just plunk down and forget it.

Birds don't eat flowers. They may be eating the bugs that eat your flowers.

I'm not sure if you are talking about seed eating birds eating sunflowers or hummingbirds or other birds sucking nectar. But whichever the case...why not welcome the birds. We put out a nice mix of millet, sunflower seeds, dried fruits and nuts for them. Try that and maybe they won't bother your flowers. Put a feeder of sugar water out for the humming birds.

Buy yourself or the birds I mean, a bird feeder, and pickup a birdbath they would eventually notice them and start to feed and bath and leave your flowers alone!!!.
