No, of course not. Everyone is going to go back to individual Personal Computers and hand carry disks from one to another to share information when they have to, chatting with all the people they pass on the way and taking breaks to recover from the effort of walking.

Hi,Hardware & networking is what completes modern industries, since you have asked about the scope its really vast, take for example a company,now for efficient work environment, the need is computers! but how do the people work in such a company? So there is a need to network the computers to share the data, Since you need to share the data, you need to have a server to store the data, and since its an example which i am referring to, in reality its really Big and the demand is huge.
