I have been in therapy off and on for many years. The longest I went was about a year or two. I found the therapist through a list of paid providers that my insurance covered, then I called the therapist to see if they are taking new patients I went and then just kept going.

Yes, I have, for depression and post traumatic stress disorder! My family physician sent me and I didn't stay for very long because all they want to do is put you on medication and after it's hard to get off of them! For me, it didn't help at all! I try, if possible to take care of these issues by myself! But, everyone is different, if you need to be in therapy maybe it would help you! Good luck!!

Yep, went for a few months after my divorce, wanted to try & resolve some issues & figure out what went wrong. He wasn't interested, cuz he was already banging his new girlfriend and now he's dead and I'm happily married for 17 years. Such is life.

No. To set up an appt., you probably can go thru your family physician, or contact a therapist directly. It would depend on your problem, as to how long it would take to go there.
