In the first Dallas/Philly game last season Philly did NOT beat the Cowboys, the Cowboys beat themselves. Drew Bledsoe cost the Cowboys the game on several diff. occassions. Philly took a commanding lead and the Cowboys bounced back from their own mistakes (muffed punts, fumbles, INT's) to have a chance to tie it with just 1 min. left in the game inside the 10 yd line and Drew Bledsoe threw an INT that went the other way to make it a 2 TD advantage. The Cowboys still put up big numbers offensively so obviously he isnt exactly a "genius".
I do love the fact that Jim Johnson will blitz relentlessly and FORCE the QB to win the game instead of allowing the QB to win the game by sitting back in cover 2 and getting picked apart as most teams do. Im not to worried about the Eagles this season though - McNabb finds way to lose he is the most overrated QB in the league and if you stop Brian Westbrook well then your chances of beating the Eagles goes way up and next season he will be a target so to speak and will not have the same type of year again.

I almost feel bad for Giant fans. They have a lame duck coach heading into the season a QB who is a complete headcase and now has no RB to help him out to go along with a pathetic offensive line. But then I see their stupid comments about the comeback they had in week 2 of the season that mean nothing. If I remember the Eagles won the division and not the Giants. If I remember the Eagles won the playoff game against the Giants too.
But to answer your question I wouldnt say they are unstopable with a lead but it helps big time because it forces to teams to play to the Eagles strengths. It's funny you always hear people bitchin cause the Eagles throw too much but when the have a lead in the 4th and they try to run you hear everyone ***** that they arent throwning the ball enough.

While I agree that a team with a great D can secure a game once they are given a lead, a team still can not rest on it's laurels. The offense must continue to push and keep the other teams D on the field as long as possible. With the QB the Eagles has, they are not able to do that all the time. As seen in the above mentioned game. Also, if the Eagles D is on the field too long trying to stop the other team, they will tire out and be prone to giving up the scores that will keep the other team in it.

I ALSO remember the Eagles going up 24-0 against the Giants in the THIRD game of last season in Philly, and then blowing a 3 TD lead with Plaxico Burress catching the winning score.
