Many people (on and off YA) have said that Secretaries Rice and Powell are (or were) President Bush's slaves. This has never been said about Bush's white cabinet members. Are people suggesting that Rice and Powell are not capable of making their own decisions because blacks are not smart enough? Are these people Bigots? Or just ignorant?

President Bush has had more blacks on his staff and in his cabinet than any president, yet the blacks that are on staff or cabinet get labeled as uncle toms, slaves, you name it. I think its pathetic myself, liberals have a knack for taking a good thing and making it sound to there own constituents that its a terrible thing, just amazing!

This is the first time I've heard of Ms. Rice and Mr. Powell refered to as "slaves".

Dr. C.Rice professor of international politics at Columbia?? yeah , she is dumb as a box of rocks// but , i rekon you have to consider the source. Having the Congressional black caucus calling you names is really a compliment.. You know the really successful people of all races who are secure with their own talents admire Dr.Rice and Gen.Powell. Ignorant rebellious fruitcakes who hate themselves and God are always jealous of success.

They fear for their jobs. Most people are ignorant. you have to have some brains about you the become Secretary of State, I'd say.

Most likely liberal which means they are both. I would vote of either one of them for president in a heartbeat. extremely intelligent and very professional. Much more class than Hillary or Pelosi, and much more experience than Obama
