I know its early to be asking, since its a month before park season starts here. heres For theme parks in the u.s., are you allowec to wear vans slip ons on rides were your feet are in the air? or would they likley make you take them off?

Many times, it depends on park policy. There are some parks who won't make you do anything; others who will tell you that you can't. Besides it being a safety issue, it's also a dress code issue if you have no shoes to wear as you are required to wear shoes in the parks, unless it's a water park.

It depends on the ride, and the park's policy, but a lot of parks will make you take them off and sit on them during rides. I've seen this done a lot at Busch Gardens Europe all the time on Alpengeist.

I myself would just take them off anyways even if they ask or not with them being slip ons. It's a possibility they might come off during the ride.

most thrill rides ask you to remove shoes that are slip ons or flip flop type sandals. I would take them off so you don't loose them.
