cos' all the countries were wary of each other after WWI and were too preoccupied with their own countries that they did not participate fully in the League of Nations. That's why Hitler could rise to such power. And many other reasons..

Here are most of the factors that contributed to the start of 2WW.

LONG TERM CAUSES
1) The Treaty of Versailles - huge discontent, £6 600million pounds reparation as a result of having to accept the War Guilt Clause, loss of economy (loss of colonies) which lead to hyperinflation, harsh conditions

2) All those lead to the rise of Hitler who rode in to power through the discontent and high unemployment

3) The fear of another world war (therefore appeasement was used)

4) The failure of the League of Nations (appeasement) - ie Manchuria and Abyssinian Crisis, the fact that America (a leading power) didn't join, Germany wasn't allowed to join until 1936 nor Russia

5) The Nazi-Soviet Pact

SHORT TERM CAUSES
1) Remilitarisation of the Rhineland

2) Anschluss (the reuniting of Germany and Austria which was forbidden by the treaty)

3) Invading Czechoslovakia (this was the height of appeasment) and this was the start of Germany gaining "Lebensraum" at the expense of non-German people (and therefore not covered by "self-determination")

4) Final spark is the invasion of Poland

CONCLUSION
Many of these extend from the failures of the Treaty of Versailles.

The government in Japan was ruled by the military, and sought Imperial expansion. Japan wanted to secure the raw materials that were in foreign lands, and rather than pay for them they though that they would just take them. So in 1928 they began a military campaign to bring these resources under Japans control.

In Italy, Mussolini government was not able to improve the wealth of the average Italian and his answer was to re establish the Roman empire, and began a campaign to control and exploit the wealth from more colonies such as Ethiopia, Libya, Albania. And through control of the Mediterranean.

Germany felt unfairly treated under the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, and sought to cast off this treaty and re establish the German Reich. "The Third Reich".

The rest of the world was more concerned about the depression and the isolationist, and protectionist international trade, and diplomatic practices.

Part of the world sought expansion, wealth, and a return to power by taking what they felt was there share, another part of the world felt that these country's did not matter nor concern them that it was everyone for themselves.

Basically the attitude that permeates on the streets reached the top levels of government. Bad people realized that the good people did not want to get involved, did not want to fight, and misstook this for weakness.

World War 2 was sparked by World War 1(obviously) and the signing of the treaty of versailles. Germany had to pay for the damages and all that stuff for world war 1 and because Germany had been emberassed infront of the entire world, Adolf Hitler came to power and initialized the National Socialism Party or Nazi Regiem. plus germany thought they were badass and could actually win. NOT.

Basically Adolf Hitler came to power and had an idea of completely wiping out Jews, homosexuals, gypsies, etc. and taking control of the entire world. His allies the japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on december 7th 1941 and thats when America was forced into the war.

One reason and one reason only, the megalomaniacal leader of the National Socialist party, relying on the anti-semitism, worldwide depression, depradation of the Versailles Treaty, sympathy from industrialists, officer corps of the Werhmact, and nationalism of the common folk....all the ingredients were there for Adolph to lead his country into a world war. Without him, we most likely would've been duking it out with joe stalin...

After the WW2 Germany wanted the revange.
After hitler camed to power in just 5 years he turned the military power on .He and others ex generals from ww1 wanted war.
Italy wanted to rebuild the Roman Empire so they saw a good oportunity with germans.
Japanese you know in ww1 they were in Antanta or Holy Alliance, seems like was a little dispointed.
They went to war with germans and italins allies.

Hitler wanted to build an Empire from Germany wich can survive for more then 1000 years.
He believed that the aryan race is the next evolution of human species with more "brain".
He was actualy selecting peoples from streets in order to find who is aryan or who is not.

Some from nazy's power believed Hitler as a new Jessus ,and scared that Jews will hear that and they will try to kill him too he started anti-jews campaign.

Russians were his next problems,he was finding them as the 1st Reich empire. So he decided to attack Russia

In nazy's people were too peoples who read the war art so the know that germany army won't be able to win the war except if wil use the blitzkrieg.
blitzkrieg means Thunder-War
It is just simply strimke with a small amount of people but very fast a region.
Just like they did with france in ww1 they did so with france again, attacking her from Belgique(or however it writes)

Do not ignore the effects of the US stock market. After WWI Germany was able to pay off her loans by borrowing money form independent US investors. When the stock market skyrocketed in the 20s investors stopped sending money to Germany so they could invest in stocks which yielded higher returns. They then demanded their money back from Germany ASAP, which of course Germany could not pay.
