No. There is no excuse for cheating on your spouse except the fact that your a jerk. It's incredibly painful to cheat on a girlfriend, let alone a wife. So why do it? If you have the urges to cheat, and you want to act on them, then you obviously aren't emotionally tied to the marriage anymore, at least not like you once were, so why put them through the pain. If your not happy, do something about it. Hurting your spouse isn't the answer. And using the alcohol as an excuse is lame and anyone can see right through it. The idea was already in your head, and getting drunk just convinced you it was OK to act on it. Bottom line, your still an ***. A newly single ***.

No. You choose to drink and flirt and be in situations like that, you carry all the responsibility. Problem keeping your pants up when drinking? Stay sober. Or expect to be single.
