I'm having a little girl soon and we've decided on Riley Annette (Riley cuz i love it and annette after my mother's name and my middle name) It is pretty much unchangable now as we have her name decorated on things in her nursery, was just wondering what the general feeling about this name is? Love it, hate it?

It's nice. It's good that you gave her a standard girl name for a middle name. I think that if a kid gets an unusual first name, it's good to give them a middle name they can use if they don't like the unusual name. Most girls like to play around with their name in their teens, spelling it differently, etc. If she doesn't like Riley, she can go by Annette, Anne, Annie or whatever else she can make out of Annette. :-)

I think it is absolutely adorable. I've never heard of a girl named Riley, but I love it when the names can be either, like Riley, or Charlie, or Sam. I love it! Good choice!!

Riley isn't a feminine name, but otherwise it's fine. I would prefer Annette Riley rather than the other way around.

Hate it girl friend! Riley reminds me of that stupid Coach Pat Riley. I would change the name to Savannah Annette-Belle.

I love the name Riley and am accepting that it has gone over to the girls. Although I still prefer it on a boy. I dont like Annette its sounds too plain, old fashioned and slighly frumpy. I dont think it flows that well with Riley.

I think it's too cute to give a girl a pretty boys' name! Riley is beautiful. I'm partial to Morgan, Taylor, and Devin, for girls, as well.
It's also nice to pass on a family name, especially to a girl, since traditionally only boys were given this sense of heritage.
If your last name begins with a 'c', a 'k', a 'q', or a 'g', or a 't', though, I'd definitely reconsider. :)

love Riley! Annette is cute as middle name, spacially if it has meaning in your family. i am on a hunt for girl names too, let me tell ya, no the easiest thing to do if you live in U.S. and are from europe...... (38 weeks pregnant:))

I think it's adorable! I love the name Riley and while it can go for a boy or a girl I think it works great either way.
