if you are a shareholder od a company, why would you be motivated to go for a merger

"there is an adage that greener pastures acts as a drive to move". how do you justify this statement in favour of the merger i)the orgnisation
ii)the management
iii)the employees

problems due to mergers, are inevitable in am organisation, employes are no exception, justify

There are advantages to mergers, in many cases. One advantage would be where you company has filed bankruptcy, and another company wants something you have, and offers to merge. A good example is Delta Airlines. Delta has trememdous resources and access to airports all over the world. More than one other airline has considered merging them. Frequently, stock price will go up as the result of a merge.
