It's been one week after my abortion and my boyfriend and I had sex and it hurt quite a bit and the next day there is some blood is this normal. If so how long before the pain go away and things can start feeling normal again?

It's been 1 week after my abortion and my boyfriend and I had sex and it hurt quite a bit and the next day there was a little bit of blood. Is this normal if so when does the pain stop and I can feel normal again.? The doctor told me I only had to wait 1 week after the abortion to have sex again. Plus the paper with the instruction said only to wait a week.

ok, first, one week is way to soon to have sex. Your cervix may not have closed properly yet which puts you at risk of infection. Same reason why you can't have baths and use tampons. Also, you can ovulate as soon as two weeks after so I hope you are using birth control.
The bleeding can last for weeks after an abortion- its normal. You should have a check up appointment 2-3 weeks after the abortion, ask anything you are concerned about then.
I find it strange they told you that you could have sex only 1 week after....

one week after an abortion is too soon to have sex. Did the Dr. give you instructions? 2 weeks is the usual, or until you have stopped spotting.
