Who here is willing to fight and die to overthrow a tyrannical government? I for one think the time has come to do our duty (according to the Declaration of Independence) as free men and overthrow a failing and corrupt government to secure a future for our children and grandchildren.
This government is not longer for the PEOPLE.

You're right Heather, a govt. cannot satisfy EVERYONE. But they can try. We have a govt. that knows what we want but refuses to listen, or as in the case with this latest Iraq votes, waits until election time to make its part look better.

Oh I agree whole hardly that the Government is no longer of the people,by the people and for the people.substitute rich in front of each and you have the real picture.
There is two predictions concerning the U.S.A. One is that it will become more communistic than a democracy. the second is that us foreigners will all leave an go back to western Europe or eastern Europe and give the land back to the Indians.
To prevent the first yes the common people will have to stand up to the people who are running the government from behind the scenes. If violence or outright war is needed so be it.being a descendant of one of the signers I would be at the forefront if such is needed. until then be careful of who you vote for into any office . the stench starts at the local level and gets worse as they go higher.

Actually I think you would get some agreement on both sides of the isle.
There are those who think the Government should be more "Social" and brought in line with a 21st century interpretation of the Constitution
And
There are those who think the Government should be less "Social" and taken back to an original interpretation of the Constitution

No, it's not time for a revolution. The voters got what they wanted, well, except in 2000. Our system of government is the best in the world, and the longest reigning Republican Democracy, and it's only alittle more than 230 years old. Government's responses--good or bad--are cyclical, as is war and peacetime. I don't agree that our votes no longer count. The problem is not enough voters vote. They would prefer to let someone else do the voting for them and to decide whether or not this issue is right or wrong for the Average Joe and Jane. Anyone who wants a revolution should take that spirit with them inside the voting booth. Until then, take your revolution overseas if you want to fight injustices and more corruption. We Americans aspire to do it in the right manner--through our votes.

As in a corrupt government, what do you mean? Are you picking on the President or the Government as a whole? I believe the entire government is a fraud. It needs to be torn down and started over again. Same principles with a few changes to the electoral system.

The Government realizes this, which is why they want to take the guns away from law abiding Americans... you can't enslave an ARMED population and this government is afraid of the American people and is why the framers of the Constitution wanted people to be armed.

There is no need for a American revlution. America does not have a corrupt government. I cant believe how ignorant some people could be. Im sorry but the government is not corrupt. Anarchists like you are corrup.
The government is trying to help the people, but the government is not perfect, any government is not perfect. The Government cant satisfy everybodys wants and needs.

Well, maybe you should get that question on the ballot. Lenin said the revolution in the Capitalist West would come from the prisons. They may not be interested in shaping a better government, just kicking butt and leaving the dead behind. Be careful what you want, you may not like 150 million dead.

I believe in the power of strong reforms. If something has broken, you don't just make a new one, you repair the one that broken. Of course there are issues that are separating the people from the government, but I, the eternal optimist, believe that if the way things now are repaired, made better, then we will live in a better world.
But no guns for me thank you.
