hi congratulations on the birth of your daughters. I remember so well almost 12 years ago on he birth of my twins how hard it was to choice there names, Being my youngest of eight I knew how inportant a name is, It can affect there whole life what we as parents decide to call them.
I ended up changeing my daughters name 3 times and even her birth anoucemnet is differant from her finally name. I think is a shame that you seem to be having to rush this really inportant decision. By law they do not have ti be registered for 6 weeks and even then a little know fact is that a forename can be left blank and added up to year old.
If you cant decided on a name straight away use the nickname you gaves the girls prior to birth a steping stone name. I had no idea what sex mine where so I choice uni sex names. In the end my twins are called Alexander (shortened to alex and jescika (shortened to jesci) I thought long and hard about the spelling for my daughter and I think her name looks lovely written down, even if people do keep trying to change it LOL.
One last thing picking names that are to alike can cause problems with people getting confused over what there names are. Using the same initial letter will cause major poblems later in life which R. SMITH is the letter for? Hope this is useful Karen

Tammy and Sarah at school people usesd to think we were called Sammy and Sarah cos obvous names a usual why not try being different cos when your a twin its great to always have a best friend but something different is appreciated after all there two people, theyl always get the term the twins so linking he names doesn't really matter.
I've also known a Jade & Jodie, Kerry and Katie,

I have identical twin girls called Caitlin and Lucy. Believe it or not them names were never on my list! I have to say they really suit their names. When we found out we were expecting twins we went through a whole bunch of names. I found it easier picking boys names. We had Alex and Zack picked out. I like how the names started with the letters from the beginging and the end of the alphabet. Reminded me of bookends! I think Amy and Zoe are good names, both short and have 3 letters. Amy is French and it means loved. Zoe comes from the Greek meaning life.

Congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of your twin daughters - you are doubly blessed!
have you thought that as they grow up your girls might not like their names to look alike - they might want just a little individuality.
Biblical names Sarah, Ruth, Naomi, Rachel
Good luck in making your choice
