OEM Windows XP Professional full version?

I was told that this disc will only work properly with the computer that it came with unless a new activation key is gotten from Microsoft. Is this info. correct?

Some do some dont, insert it in and see if it stops the install and says something about your computer not being a "Insert manufacturers name" so installation is aborted..

If it does not then it should work..
